West Transportation is a local owned and operated family business that is in it's 29th year of providing a scheduled bus service for Washington County. Western Washington County communities receive public bus service and social service 52 weeks a year. The Bangor/Calais route operates daily year round. The Western Washington county route is Mondays to Ellsworth and Tuesdays to Machias. West's connects with all major bus terminals, Bangor airport, allows time for medical appointments, shopping and has routes for social service agency programs. All public routes are public/private partnerships that help keep the fares low.
